Hey ya'll I wanted to introduce you to Earth Balance as I was lucky to be invited to another campaign and the perk as A BzzAgent is that I was able to receive a coupon to try this product for free, yay! This is a great substitute for butter which is 100% plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, lactose-free, egg-free, gluten-free, and has 0g trans fat. Use it for cooking or a baking recipe like I do when making eggs and yes they are delicious. They also have other products such as kettle chips, popcorn, crackers and something for the peanut butter & mayonnaise lovers. I found mine at my local Kroger store as well as Publix. I'm going to try it in a dessert next time, perhaps I'll make the recipe that came in my kit for Cinnamon Roll Pie.
Of course if I do I will definitely let you know how it turns out; until next time remember It's Been D'Lish Dishing w/ Y'all!

Have you ever just wanted one cup of lemonade and driven all the way to Chick-fil-A or somewhere else just to purchase a cup that cost you about $2-3. Well I have on numerous occasions. I find that I'm always with lemons now since they seem to be good for so many things. What are some of those things you say well lemons break up mucus and flem in the throat and chest. Also they're good for a flat belly. Don't take my word for it do your own research and you will see. However today's recipe is for delicious lemonade. I have always loved this beverage and for some of you like me would like to know what's in what you're consuming ; well the only way to know that for sure is to make it yourself. You'll need only 3 ingredients, 2 of which are everyday items.
Supplies:
Step One: squeeze lemons for juice you'll need 1/3 cup juice. This works better if you have a way to juice the fruit you can use the twist or press method, whichever you choose.
Step Two: You can use cold or room temperature water, after pouring in juice I poured 12 oz. Cold water in my cup and added the sugar.
Step Three: Stir well and drink.
Now while I hope you enjoy remember lemonade is a to taste type of recipe so you may require less or more sugar; I'm hoping definitely not more. Tweek it to your taste buds. This recipe will however put you in the right direction. It however is perfect for me and has replaced my need to make a run to spend money on someone else's version.
Until next time remember, "It's Been D'Lish Dishing w/ Y'all! "

I remember when I found out I was having a girl. Up until the day I'd be given the news I was on boy craze as I'd had three. I thought I'm gonna get another boy and that's cool they've been great. Fast forward to the day of my ultrasound and Dr. Tandy says you're having a boy. "What shut the front door, you're kidding", I said. Nope it's a girl she replied. I was shocked, scarred and overjoyed all at the same time. Shocked because after 3 pregnancies and wanting a girl each time only to get boys that don't get me wrong I was thankful for, now I was actually getting my mini-me. Well in my case you get the opposite of what you want. I wanted a girl but I'd convinced myself I'd be ok with a boy as not to be disappointed so basically I'd talked myself into a boy and look at God he said here's that girl you've been waiting for. Scarred because I was for all intents and purposes in my mind a single parent as I wasn't married. I truly never wanted to have a daughter with the possibility of the father not being around and this was a very real possibility. Back to my joyful moment I was so happy I could have bought out the whole bar if I was a drinker and oh yea not pregnant, haha! As you can see in this photo it was a happy and peaceful day for me and I wanted to take in nature with a walk.

So I'm really doing this thang. Leveling up my health. Yea I know my family and friends are like child how much more healthy you gone eat. You know they say you are what you eat and well my habits were getting out of control at least with sweets. Sugar will make the brain go wonky and well now we simply can't have that; I've got an empire to build and a company to run outside of being super mom or so they think I am.
Twelve years ago I gave up pork and well let's just say my health got better in many ways; most importantly mental clarity. I began cooking from scratch beyond the three meals that I had become known for simply because I wanted to know what was in the foods I was feeding my family and myself. Yes even after removing pork from our diet, cooking homecooked meals and baking my sweets except on special occasion I felt I needed to up my game only I knew this time I'd be solo.
After meeting some really supportive folks at a workshop I was a vendor at "Yoniverse to Universe" I felt really motivated and empowered to forge ahead. I decided to take that road I'd been pondering on for so long; like Nike says, "Just Do It." I've been on a roll since Friday going meatless. I thought I'd just get myself to 4 days a week doing a meatless diet but no the competitor in me said girl we doing the damn thing. I have gone 6 days now meatless. And no I haven't slipped. I've even cooked meat twice this week for the family and didn't even want it. What did I make, well two of my favorites: Lasagna and a Baked Mustard Chicken but I wasn't phased. When you have a mind shift it will definitely light a fire under you. I encourage you to get around a group of people or at least connect somehow like thru facebook or text messaging to get that encouragement and guidance you need. Understand this is my way of approaching a healthier way. Whether you choose a vegan, vegetarian, paleo, keto or blood type based diet be sure to do your own research and find what is best for you; your body will let you know what works and what doesn't pay attention.
Want to know what I ate this week:
Day 1 - oatmeal/baked potato w/avocado

Day 3 - Grits/Edamame bowl, green smoothie, Caesar Salad/bake potato w/avocado

A green smoothie or juice is a great way to start your day. Starting your morning with a green smoothie or juice first helps to not only cleanse but heal the body. This month in the personal and business development group I'm a part of we are doing a smoothie challenge while reading "10-Day Smoothie Cleanse". This was perfect for me because I've been off my choice of either a green juice or smoothie first thing in the mornings. Yes this is part of my routine/diet. I decided I'd make a fiscally responsible call and shop for all my ingredients at Sam's Club as it was the closet budget friendly location to my house. A better choice would have been to go to the Farmer's Market and it would have been even more economical. Nevertheless here is the breakdown of my trip to Sam's Club. I picked up everything from my list except Kale as they didn't have it and so I modified the recipes that had it (top pic). I prepped 10 days of smoothies as I was too tired to do the rest, lol (bottom pic). Still enough ingredients to make another set of 10. I spent $71.30 and all I have to do is add the last 2 ingredients (sweetener and flaxseed, no protein powders for me) when making them up as well as my coconut water. This was a bargain and I'll show you why.
#1 When I get juice delivered from a service to my door... $68/ wk for (5)16 oz bottles
#2 Purchase Bolthouse smoothie/juice $3 ea 16 oz bottle
#3 Green Smoothie at Panera $5
Preparing myself I’m spending about $1.80 each and I know exactly what’s in each one and no additives. Note each one of those bags makes 2 (16oz) servings.
The message in this is it's more cost effective to simply DIY it and you can bank the money you'll be saving. It will also save time. Before I forget the kids absolutely love them and you can even make popsicles out of them as well.
Here are a few recipes to get you started:
Berry Green Smoothie
Pineapple Spinach
Spinach Spring Berry
All ingredients added to blender and blended till smooth. I used my preferred choice of blenders which is a Vitamix however any blender will work.

Good Afternoon, I'm just sitting here with the family chating about world issues such as the value we place on unimportant and irrelevant things. While also watching these two squirrels chase each other up and down the tree, which is a regular occurrence in our yard.
So we're having our regular Sunday brunch and the meal wasn't as plentiful on this day however that's no reason to cancel for it's not about the food it's about coming together spending time and being thankful; like Thanksgiving. Yes I said Thanksgiving; why should it only be one day a year. Just think about it for a minute. Wow makes since huh.
So what was on the menu you say? Strawberry muffins, scrambled eggs, smoked turkey sausage and coffee for the grown & sexy, lol as well as chocolate milk for the wee little ones. We had to wait extra long for my honey as he is the head since he injured his foot hooping out the youngsters at the basketball court. All in all its been a great mid morning with the family. My eldest son came in the kitchen to help make the whip cream while I finished the eggs. Note if your mouth is watering for Strawberry muffins the recipe is below.
Here is what you'll need:
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 ° and grease muffin pans w/ cooking spray
2) Combine in bowl sugar and butter. Beat w/ mixer on high until light and fluffy. Add yogurt and eggs; beat until blended. Add vanilla.
3) In separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add to butter mix, beat then fold in strawberries.
4) Fill muffin pans and bake till nicely brown and can put toothpick through and comes out clean.
-Makes 1 1/2 muffins-
I hope you enjoy these as much as we did. Until next time it's been Dlish dishing with ya'll!

I had no idea that yogurt could be used in place of so many ingredients as a binder such as butter, oil, mayonnaise, sour cream and more. I mainly use it in desserts and smoothies. I received my 32 oz. container for free by using a coupon at my local Kroger. Also I found the following recipe on the Chobani website, looks yummy and will be trying in near future. I've also decided to use Chobani when making Popsicles for the children this summer. Hope you'll check out their site for more recipes as well as check back here for future recipes. As always it's great to report such finds as a #BzzAgent so until next time it's been Dlish dishing with ya'll!

I finally started setting my table with my Temptations cookware. Every 2 weeks I buy fresh flowers when they go on sale since we started having Sunday brunch, yay! Isn't this a beautiful site. It's nice having my children around the table even if not all in attendance at once. However when they are present I am overjoyed. My honey and I take turns fixing the food or we assist one another. This is harmony at its best a family praying together, listening to truth and wisdom, laughing and just enjoying one another.
